My daughter Tammi & I have always worked to uphold ASCA's Code of Ethics and to breed Versatile Australian Shepherds who conform to the ASCA Breed Standard. All Diamond Aire breeding dogs are OFA'ed, eyes cleared yearly, and ASCA DNA'ed. Our puppies are raised in the house, well socialized, and sold on either a pet or breeding/show contract.

I met my 1st Aussie in 1973, he was enrolled in my obedience class. I liked this dog - a blue merle with white trim - and his owner and I got to be good friends. She was just getting into Aussies and in 1974 when she bred her first litter, I got a blue merle bitch. I was hooked! My friend bought Flower (Wildflower of Windermere) a few years later - now she was really my type of dog! When my friend and her husband and dogs moved to California Flower and her daughter (by that first blue merle Aussie I met in class) were sent to Coppertone Kennels to be bred. I got a pup from each litter, a bitch and a dog. As things sometimes do and sometimes don't work out, I kept the bitch Y Cross Jubel Lee. She was bred in 1979 to Ch. Jayhawk of Coppertone. The results of that litter were 2 puppies - 1 black tri male and 1 black tri bitch. Someone was watching out for me, as those two pups turned out to be Ch Diamond Aire O CD, ATDd, OTDs and his sister Ch Diamond Airebell CD, STD,d, both outstanding dogs and the foundation of Diamond Aire Kennels!
Their children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all line bred on basically Coppertone dogs have proven themselves in all areas of competition. My goal for over 40 years for Diamond Aire Aussies has always been to live up to the standard of the "versatile Aussie". Along with their sound conformation and temperament, my dogs have done well in conformation, obedience and stock, enabling Diamond Aire to earn ASCA Hall of Fame and Hall of Fame Excellent honors.
